Act of seeing Today I sat communing with nature, cup of tea in hand, a book in my lap, noticing the scenic backdrop like a beauty curator. I caught sight of a bright brimstone butterfly that danced across my eyes with nimble precision, as she filled my heart with unexpected delight. I was surprised by two small, black-dotted, cabbage white butterflies which fluttered like tiny flags, swiftly following one another to the scented, brightly coloured plants. Today I watched, entranced by the papillons, while I failed to capture their flight with a camera’s eye, but held them, instead, with deep gratitude—in my sight. © joylenton

I just watched a monarch land and enjoy my marigolds instead of the butterfly bush, and the hummingbirds visit often, thank you , Joy.
Rebecca, such delightful watching warms the heart. I’ve not seen hummingbirds but I would love to. Enjoy the sights this summer! Blessings and love. x 🌺❤️
I bought swings for them, I finally got to see one swing the other day. It is so hot here, I sit out more in the evening. 🌹
Oh how lovely! Did you manage to take a photo of them swinging? After a hot start, we’re mostly having a cool, wet and windy summer. I try to sit outside when I can. Enjoy your evening viewing. 💜
Not yet, but I will try.
Dear Joy, thank you for this lovely glimpse into your time of pausing! I have a large coleus plant growing inside on my windowsill. It’s been so fun watching the little cabbage white butterflies trying to get to it. These blessings of our Father’s creation surely do bring joy to our weary days. Love and hugs to you my dear friend across the pond! ❤️🤗
Dear Bettie, yes, whether we watch nature from indoors or outside, there are wonders to behold and sights to delight our eyes. They certainly do “bring joy to our weary days” and remind us of God’s creative heart, His visual outpouring of hope and love. Sending love and hugs to you, too, dear friend across the pond! x 💜🦋🌺❤️
