‘Walking’
Sometimes I want to walk
away from myself
turn my back and flee
But there’s no getting
away from it
I can’t get away from me
Although I feel a place
of cold emptiness
echoing through my heart
When I try listening close
I sense Jesus is
walking through every part
He pushes away the
darkness shelved deep inside
so that it has nowhere else
to trouble, disturb or hide
And He fills and floods
every crevice and space
with His wonderful love
and amazing grace

For the first time in several weeks, I am delighted to be joining here again today(a little later than planned) with Kate and friends for #fiveminutefriday and with Mel for #essentialfridays
Love the lines on your picture. So true, that no matter how hard life is, He is always there to help us through it.
Hi Suzy. Thanks for stopping by. Sorry the comment didn’t show quickly. I have ‘comment moderation’ on and there can be a bit of a time delay before I see, approve and reply to them. But I do appreciate the trouble you took and the affirmation of how God “is always there to help us through” our hard times. Blessings. 🙂
Love this poem. It is beautiful. He is always there and He loves each and every one of us.
Hi Patty. It’s good to meet you! Thanks for visiting and leaving a lovely comment. God bless you. 🙂
This reminds me of a quote i once read – “Faith it till you make it” – The variation being – “I’m gonna faith it till I make it” 🙂
Beautiful Joy, really lovely.

That’s a great quote, Kimmie! I’m so sorry for the situation you find yourself in, but I’m also honoured to be used as a safe space for you to drop into and be helped by. You are in my thoughts and prayers, dear friend. Let’s aim to support one another as we stay strong in the strength of the Lord. God bless you. 🙂 x
