available: being wholly and holy available #thedailyhaiku 3

God is continually pouring out His goodness and grace but we’re not always in the right mindset to receive it. Can we become more wholly and holy available? I think so.

All it takes to become available to God is the slightest turning of our hearts in His direction, a whisper of His Name, a memory stirring deep within, a recollection of how marvellously He has always taken care of us.

As we turn the eyes of our heart and our faces toward God, we are rewarded by a saturation of grace, an outpouring of peace, a rush of joy and a calming in our souls. Shall we do that now? A few moments in prayer can make all the difference to how a day turns out.

  1. Beautiful, Joy! It really does just take a “slight turning of our hearts” to bring us in the right direction to be available to our God. You’ve inspired me and I plan to go right now to have some time with Him before I get to my exercise routine.

Many blessings to you with love and hugs! xoxo

    • It seems like my work here is done! To have blessed and inspired you is a gift of grace for both of us. Thank you so much for letting me know, Gayl. May you have a rewarding time with the Lord, dear friend, and stay blessed, inspired and encouraged in the days ahead. I am certainly enjoying and benefitting from reading your daily words. Sending love and hugs to you! xoxo 😊💜

  2. Dear Joy,
This is the third post I have read today reminding me to turn my self over to Him, (in addition to a Scripture Reading earlier that pointed in the same direction.) I think God must be trying to get my attention? Oh, may I make myself available to HIM! Thanks for sweet encouragement again, today, my friend! Love and Hugs to you! xoxo

    • Dear Bettie, oh that does sound like a Holy nudge! Yes, I think God might be trying to draw your attention to these things. Perceived reminders can be taken to Him in prayer and He will gently impress on our hearts just what He is requiring from us as a response. Because surrender is a continuous movement in God’s direction and a gradual leaning of our whole soul, spirit and body on Him. We tend to need frequent awakenings and suggestions, don’t we? At least that is my experience. Praying for you, sweet friend. Love and hugs! xoxo

    • Dear June, I’m grateful to have been given words that have blessed, encouraged and inspired you, my friend! Thank you for being here. May God continue to inspire you in your own creativity. xo ❤
